Independent Contractor
Employee
Company: Assassin Entertainment LLC
Location: Remote / 100% Flexible
Classification: Independent Contractor (1099)
Assassin Entertainment LLC is seeking independent service providers to facilitate client acquisition and tour management. This contract is designed for self-motivated professionals who operate their own independent booking service and value total autonomy over their workflow.
Engagement Overview
As an Independent Booking Consultant, you are responsible for managing client inquiries, verifying performance availability via our database, and securing event contracts.
Autonomy of Schedule: You maintain full control over your hours. You utilize your own equipment (phone/computer) and choose when to engage with clients. There are no "on-call" requirements; you answer only when you choose to work.
Operational Tools: You will use your own computer to access the Assassin Entertainment database to check artist availability and process booking requests.
Deliverables: The primary objective is to provide high-level professional correspondence that results in firm, contracted performance dates.
Compensation & Service Rates
Payments are issued for completed service units. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for all applicable taxes, including New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) where applicable.
Note: These base rates and commission percentages are eligible for advancement to Independent Booking Consultant II and Independent Booking Consultant (1099) III tiers based on documented performance and contracted results.
Service Level Expectation
The "One-and-Done" Standard
To maintain the professional reputation of Assassin Entertainment LLC, we require precision in all client-facing deliverables.
Payment for emails (marked ‡) is reserved for complete and accurate professional correspondence.
If a follow-up email is required to correct an error in the initial output (e.g., missing contracts, riders, promo kits, or unanswered client questions), the "corrective" email is considered a non-billable service unit.
Omissions requiring additional threads to provide information that should have been in the original correspondence will not be counted toward your daily billable total.
Performance Reciews
Assassin Entertainment LLC reserves the right to audit email and call logs to ensure service units meet the standards outlined above. Consistent failure to meet these professional standards may result in a review of your contractor status.
Compliance & Application
To maintain active status, a signed contract renewal is required annually, as all independent contractor agreements expire on January 31st.
If you operate an independent service with a professional phone presence and the ability to navigate digital scheduling systems, please submit your business information and interest via email.

Contractor - Frequently Asked Questions & Information
Purpose: This document outlines the professional standards and results required for Assassin Entertainment LLC productions. As an Independent Contractor, you maintain full autonomy over the specific methods used to achieve these results. These preferences ensure brand consistency and safety outcomes but are not mandatory employer-mandated work rules.
Attire & Appearance
To align with the high-energy, professional aesthetic of Assassin Entertainment LLC shows, we have the following non-mandatory preferences:
Top: Plain black shirt (preferably with no visible logos).
Bottom: Dark blue jeans or black pants.
Footwear: Monochrome shoes, preferably in black, white, or grey.
Conduct: To ensure safety-critical results, contractors are expected to be presentable and fully sober during the Period of Performance.
Equipment & Technology (Ticket Checkers)
Efficient audience entry is a primary contracted result.
BYOD (Bring Your Own Device): It is preferred that contractors provide their own smartphone or tablet with a working camera and WiFi/Cellular capability.
Software: Contractors should be prepared to utilize the Wix Ticketing App.
Optional Equipment: While utilizing personal tools is the preferred standard for 1099s, you are welcome to use Assassin Entertainment LLC equipment (tablets, scanners, and cash tills) if you prefer or if your personal device is incompatible.
Safety Briefings & Expertise (Spotters)
The primary result for a Spotter is the absolute physical safety of participants.
Briefing: Assassin Entertainment LLC provides a Safety Briefing (Video or PDF) outlining the safety goals for the show. While reviewing the briefing is optional, contractors are contractually responsible for the safety outcomes defined within it.
Method: The specific physical techniques used to maintain stage safety are at the contractor's professional discretion.
Period of Performance
Window: The contracted "Period of Performance" is typically from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Readiness: To ensure the venue is legally compliant and safe before doors open, the service window effectively begins 10–15 minutes prior to the event start time.
Compensation & Tax Status
Flat Fee: Compensation is a flat fee per performance, with no taxes withheld.
Reporting: Per the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (2025), Assassin Entertainment LLC will only issue a Form 1099-NEC if your total compensation exceeds $2,000 in the 2026 calendar year.
Insurance: Contractors are responsible for their own professional liability. Assassin Entertainment LLC maintains workers' compensation as required by New Mexico state law for specific staffing thresholds.

This policy establishes the operational expectations for our independent booking agents. We recognize the importance of flexibility for 1099 contractors; however, to ensure seamless client communication and tour management, the following tiers have been established.
The table below outlines the schedule and availability expectations for our 1099 booking agents depending on their current level.
The symbol (‡) indicates that payment is reserved for complete and accurate professional correspondence.
The "One-and-Done" Rule: We value professional precision. If an agent must send a follow-up email to correct a mistake in the first—such as a forgotten attachment (contract, rider, promo kit) or a missed answer to a client's question—the second "corrective" email is non-billable.
Omissions: Any email sent to provide information that should have logically been included in the original thread will not be counted toward the agent's daily total.
Audit Protocol: Assassin Entertainment LLC reserves the right to audit email logs. Repeated instances of "corrective" emails may result in a review of the agent's tier status.
